Polar Bears Baseball Returns to Two Rivers

We are excited to announce the return of the Two Rivers Polar Bears amateur baseball team to the Cool City in 2025! A Two Rivers tradition steps back onto Walsh Field this summer! With an extensive history dating back to the 1930’s, Polar Bears baseball has been a part of the Two Rivers community almost as long as the ice cream sundae and we are proud to wake it from its hibernation.

A Two Rivers city baseball team can be traced back to the early 1900’s and it took on the Polar Bears name in 1939. With only a few years off during World War 2, the Polar Bears played continuously until 1984. The franchise had a great run of success in the 1970’s when they won four Shoreland League titles guided by Shoreland League Hall of Fame manager Howie Timm. The team was brought back in 2001 and played in Two Rivers until 2018 and claimed another four Shoreland championships between 2012 and 2017.

In 2025, the Polar Bears will return to the Shoreland League to compete against their longtime leaguemates the Algoma Penguins, Casco Athletics, and Kewaunee Chiefs, as well as their lakeshore neighbors to the south, the Manitowoc Bandits.
